What is Granny Carol’s Yummie Crunch, and where did it come from? I hear this every time someone new tries my crunchie confection. I can’t tell you exactly what Yummie Crunch is- that’s a long standing secret family recipe. But I can tell you that it is chock full of everything that is good, and everything that tantalizes the taste buds.

The secret family recipe can be traced years back to my sister’s original concoction, which was made with a handful of this, a dash of that, a cup or two of a thing or two and she developed a yearly taste bud sensation well steeped in holiday and family tradition. Always made during the holidays and special occasions, constantly given as that special personal gift to our friends and family, and continually available at our special gatherings with friends and family. Once placed out- it is always gobbled up, with everyone wanting more. I always try to make enough to fulfill the needs of everyone, but invariably come up short each year. The more I make, the more they eat! It is THAT good!

This is a true family business. With the help of my two sons, my daughters in-law and my two granddaughters, we have kept the Yummie Crunch tradition alive and well through MANY holiday seasons, and countless family and friend functions. My sister perfected the ingredients and entered it into a local baking competition- AND WON! Now, the previous private family and friend treat was being sought by everyone! So, we had a family meeting, and decided to share the yumminess with the world!

Never compromising on the original recipe, and still making it with the love and care in which I have made it for our friends and family over the years. I still personally make each and every batch of Granny Carol’s Yummie Crunch and now offer our family tradition for ALL to enjoy!
